Submitters Perspective

Thanksgiving

Cont'd from page 1

I’m thankful for God’s gift of the Quran so we have a roadmap to return to Him. And His provision of a physical community of family of submitters locally, as well as spiritual family around the world.

I am thankful for Quran Study, an opportunity to expand on my belief in Allah, one God. Quran Study teaches me how to live as a submitter. It keeps me on a path to paradise. It connects me to God’s messengers and prophets. And I am thankful to God for NATURE & the GREAT OUTDOORS: mountains, beaches, trails, waterfalls, sun, and parks. To experience these creations of God always feeds my spirit, bringing me closer to Allah.

I’m so thankful that GOD provided for us the knowledge of what completes us. HE alone. And that GOD provides so many submitter creatures and creations around us to provide for us and serve us.

I’m truly thankful for God’s guidance and God’s protection on me and my loved ones. I thank God for giving me the AEVQ [Authorized English version of Quran], the complete Manual to, God willing, see me through this life and the all-important Hereafter. Not only did the Most Gracious give me the Manual but also sent an Instruction Engineer (a messenger) with it to explain to me matters that I could never have comprehended. I thank God for the placement of my Soul with a wonderful Submitter family so I have a chance to save myself for Eternity. But for God’s Mercy, I could have been born centuries ago in a Cannibalistic or a “Thugee” tribe. I thank God for giving me more than enough provisions to meet my needs and those of my family.

I thank God for giving me two scatter-brained Irish Setter dogs for 15 years each and a plotting and scheming yet nearly invisible cat for 18 years. Thank You so much God, You have given me so much more.

I am so grateful that God has provided for me, guided me, blessed me, protected me all the years of my life so far. I am grateful for all of the family that God has given me, especially my “spiritual family” of believers!! There really is no end to my Thankfulness!! It moves me to want to lift my hands in total praise to Him each time I make Salat….TUG [Thank You God]!!

I am so thankful to be guided to the truth. Praise God!

For the soul, I am grateful for the daily appreciation sessions that we hold. Every day a group of us get together on Skype and share 3 things for which we are grateful. Sometimes it is a short and sweet session, but it serves as a great reminder of GOD’s blessings upon us every day, it helps us connect with the real family, and it is refreshing for the soul. For the body, I recently needed to renew my gym membership. I signed up at the local gym and they charged me $99 enrolment fee and an expensive bi-weekly fee. I thought nothing of it, but then by GOD’s Grace, my mother reminded me that I should call head office, maybe they’ll have better deals. I wanted to do this, but forgot, so praise GOD for His reminders. I called and they refunded me the $99, gave me a much cheaper bi-weekly fee, and I got a month free membership out of the whole deal of canceling and re-signing. Isn’t that amazing! Thank You, GOD!

I am very thankful for God’s law book, (Quran), which is a beacon for my life. And I am thankful for technology that God grants us to be connected to all over the world.

Here is something I’m grateful to God for: The gift of submitter friends that keep me on the straight and narrow path, that I pray will lead back to Him. And the ability to appreciate and enjoy music.

It’s such a stress buster for me and a reminder that God loves me and allows me this pleasure every time I listen to music.

I am thankful that GOD allowed me to spend thirty-seven years with Nahid jaan (my late wife). I learned a lot from her, especially acts of kindness to others. And I am thankful that GOD allowed me to quit smoking since 1981. I’ve felt very healthy ever since. Praise GOD.

I am ever grateful I got the Quran which reminds me daily of my shortcomings and guides me to correct my future. And I am thankful for the technology GOD has blessed us with. We are able to do conferences, Quran Studies etc. And stay connected to the real family. Mashallah.

Thank God for providing us with all the detailed information we need in the Quran. Take a moment and think about how much information and details are in this world. There are books in libraries, books that don’t make it to libraries, the internet filled with information on almost any topic you can think of, stories passed down from generation to generation, scrolls, information in other languages, hieroglyphics, and many other sources of information. Imagine if we had to sift through all this information to find the truth. I would be overwhelmed and probably give up. Through God’s mercy we are provided with one book that contains all the detailed information we need. Now, that makes it a lot easier and feels like it is obtainable to find the truth. Praise be to God, Lord of the universe, thank God!

I am so thankful for my brothers and sisters in faith. They are such good examples for me. I have learned so much just by being here, praise God. And I’m thankful for my dog, Billy. He is a true submitter. I am so thankful for his health, and he makes me laugh!

I am thankful of being healthy to enjoy God’s blessing such as fresh air, water, food, and space with freedom to choose. And I am also thankful to be able to read, write, and understand others with patience.
