Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 3:17] They are steadfast, truthful, submitting, charitable, and meditators at dawn. Meditation [Quran 17:79] During the night, you shall meditate for extra credit, that your Lord may raise you to an honorable rank. [Quran 50:40] During the night you shall meditate on His name, and after prostrating. Meditating on God is so valuable for our souls. Sadly, we become casual with the real priorities. When it comes to the material world, we are very particular. If we are writing a business letter or presentation, we make sure it is perfectly edited with not a dot or dash out of place. We review and review, but we forget that God asks us to examine what we have sent ahead for our souls (Quran 59:18). We could spend hours trying to find our phone. But do we meditate and try to contact our Creator with the same focus? If we dropped a 100 dollar bill or a diamond, we would go on all fours to look for it. But do we as readily fall prostrate before the Most High? Let us try and learn from David's piety, and be as careful about observing God's commandments.
