Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran Sura 97 Destiny (Al-Qadr)] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful [97:1] We revealed it in the Night of Destiny.* [97:2] How awesome is the Night of Destiny! [97:3] The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months. *97:1 The Quran was placed into Muhammad's soul on the 27th night of Ramadan, 13 B.H. (Before Hijrah). See also 17:1, 44:3, 53:1-18, and Appendix 28. The Quran was revealed on the Night of Destiny roughly 14 centuries ago, providing guidance and clear teachings for the people. This night serves as a wonderful opportunity to remember, commemorate and thank God. We have much to thank God for, including provisions for the body and for the soul. God blesses us with guidance, worship practices, and reminders that can provide eternal happiness. The Night of Destiny begins at sunset on Sunday March 15, in the USA. This corresponds to the 27th Night of Ramadan, i.e., the night between the 26th and 27th fasts. Night in the lunar calendar precedes the day. May God bless us with a peaceful Night of Destiny, and help us glorify Him and be appreciative of Him.
