Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 16:10-11] He sends down from the sky water for your drink, and to grow trees for your benefit. With it, He grows for you crops, olives, date palms, grapes, and all kinds of fruits. This is (sufficient) proof for people who think. [16:14] And He committed the sea to serve you; you eat from it tender meat ... During Ramadan, we are aware of God's provisions. Water and food are especially refreshing and delicious when we break our fast. The meats, vegetables and fruits that God blesses us with are abundant in variety and flavors that only He could create. As we appreciate God's provisions for our body, let us also remember His provisions for our souls. Fasting, in one month, satisfies a major commandment. Observing each religious duty including the Contact Prayers and obligatory charity, nourishes our souls. As does each act of worship or righteousness. Let us be thankful and mindful of God as we go through our day so we may be ready when we meet our Creator. May God bless us to remember Him, and to be aware of the Hereafter (Quran 38:46).
