Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 4:106] You shall implore GOD for forgiveness. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. [Quran 51:18] At dawn, they prayed for forgiveness. The Quran emphasizes forgiveness in a strong manner in many verses. In fact, a verse dealing with the First Commandment states: Lã Elãha Ellã Allãh: First Commandment [Quran 47:19] You shall know that: "There is no other god beside GOD,"* and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. GOD is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny. We each are in need of God's forgiveness. And God asks us to pray for ourselves and all believing men and women. Praying for others' forgiveness can remind to us to be forgiving, as it reflects strength of character (Quran 42:43). Praying for forgiveness can promote inner peace by training us to put our trust in God and letting go of resentment and ego over petty disputes. May we be among those who eagerly race towards God's forgiveness (Quran 3:133-135).
