Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 3:92] You cannot attain righteousness until you give to charity from the possessions you love. Whatever you give to charity, GOD is fully aware thereof. [Quran 2:272] ... Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of GOD. Any charity you give will be repaid to you, without the least injustice. God loves the charitable (Quran 2:195, 3:134). And being charitable is closely linked to being righteous (Quran 2:3, 2:177, 2:277). Charity gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation for God's bounties (Quran 108:1-2), and is a form of purification (Quran 9:103). When we give to charity, it may help to remind ourselves that it is for our own good (Quran 2:272) and that the provisions we have all come from God (Quran 2:3, 2:254, 8:3, 14:31, 22:35, 24:33). Among the ways to give to charity is by helping people gain access to clean water. This year's project, in collaboration with Charity Water, has by God's grace met its initial fundraising goal. A big thank you to all those who already donated! For those who wish to contribute, the project is active till the end of November: https://www.charitywater.org/masjidtucson-org/masjid-tucson-2026 References Charity Water project 2026, https://www.masjidtucson.org/conference/2026/charity_water.html Zakat and Charity, https://www.masjidtucson.org/submission/practices/zakat/ Peace.
