Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 30:42] Say, "Roam the earth and note the consequences for those before you." Most of them were idol worshipers. [Quran 6:11] Say, "Roam the earth and note the consequences for the rejectors." God says to roam the earth. And it's for our own good. So much can be learned from other places, other cultures, other people. We can learn from the past, see the consequences of disbelieving. The lessons are put there for a purpose. Can we learn from their mistakes? If we truly follow God's commandments, and do the practices that He has given to us; if we sincerely worship God alone, then we can avoid the mistakes of the people of the past. We need to follow the advice given in: [22:46] Did they not roam the earth, then use their minds to understand, and use their ears to hear? Indeed, the real blindness is not the blindness of the eyes, but the blindness of the hearts inside the chests. We don't want to be blind in this life and we certainly don't want to find ourselves blind in the Hereafter. May God continue to guide each of us and allow us the freedom to roam the earth and the wisdom to learn from what we see and hear. [Quran 29:20] Say, "Roam the earth and find out the origin of life." For GOD will thus initiate the creation in the Hereafter. GOD is Omnipotent.
