Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 5:105] O you who believe, you should worry only about your own necks. If the others go astray, they cannot hurt you, as long as you are guided. To GOD is your ultimate destiny, all of you, then He will inform you of everything you had done. Sometimes we get engrossed in our lives and in the lives of our families and friends. However, on the Day of Judgment we will only worry about our own necks. And people whose souls did not grow, will wish they could give up their friends and families to save themselves (Quran 70:10-14). When we leave this world, we go alone and not with our nearest of kin. Neither can they intercede on our behalf, nor can we for them. Instead it will all depend how much we nourished our soul. Isn't it better to examine our soul's readiness while we still have a chance than to wait until there are no more chances to grow? So, let us try to be steadfast in being mindful of God. As we spend time with our loved ones, let us be thankful of God's blessing of family. When we do our job or studies, let us appreciate the hearing, eyesight, brains and other abilities God gave us. May God help us so we are ready when it is time to meet our Creator.
