Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 108:1] We have blessed you with many a bounty. [108:2] Therefore, you shall pray to your Lord (Salat), and give to charity. The practice of charity is a gift from God which helps the giver (Quran 2:272) and the receiver. Among the reasons to give to charity are it allows us to attain righteousness (Quran 3:92), gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation for God's bounties (Quran 108:1-2), and is a form of purification (Quran 9:103). May we be reverent of God as we give charity (Quran 23:60) and do it to please our Lord.
