In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

[Quran 30:21] Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think.


On Valentine's day, people take time to appreciate their spouses (and other loved ones). Marriage is encouraged in the Quran (24:32) and a spouse can be a source of love, care and support. But as much as we love our spouses, it is best for us to love God the most (Quran 2:165). Our worldly relationships and the happiness of our loved ones and ourselves depends on how good our relationship is with God.

May God guide us to be the best in all relationships, especially in our relationship with Him.
