Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 2:152] You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative. [Quran 16:18] If you count GOD's blessings, you cannot possibly encompass them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. The end of 2025 marks both the end of a year and of a quarter century. And looking back we can each find much to appreciate. For example, we may remember the year 2000 going safely notwithstanding the worries about "Y2K". Or many other tests through the years that by God's leave we made it through. Or the variety of blessings and conveniences we now enjoy. A few decades ago, for example, there were no smartphones, and internet speeds were roughly 1/1000th of what they are today. And our lives have so many blessings and provisions from God, for both body and soul (Quran 27:60-64). But, as much as we have to be grateful for, we may today have more things that distract us from remembering God today than years ago. So, let us make a conscious effort each day to remember God and be thankful. For everything we have now, or have enjoyed in the past. May God help us be among the appreciative.
