Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 23:1-2] Successful indeed are the believers; who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat). Let us think of the most valuable thing in our life. It could be our health, spouse, children, job, business, or something else. Let us reflect, is it as precious as the Contact Prayers (Salat) that God has blessed us with? We human beings are short-sighted creatures. We don't realize the value of this Contact prayer. It allows us to be in direct contact with our Creator, the Lord of the universe. The One who grants us our sustenance and existence, and protects all we care about and value. This moment of contact with God grows our soul leaps and bounds. What if we were listening to our boss offering us a promotion or to the person we value most in this world. How attentively would we spend that time? Do we put in the same devotion and attention with our contact with God? The prayer benefits us. God says in the Quran to seek HELP through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Quran 2:45, 2:153). And being reverent in prayer brings success (Quran 23:1). But Satan wants to distract us from realizing this blessing that God has gifted us. Let us work to enjoy this gracious gift, to prepare our souls for the day of resurrection.
