In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

[Quran 90:11-18] He should choose the difficult path.
 Which one is the difficult path?
 Feeding, during the time of hardship.
 Orphans who are related.
 Or the poor who is in need.
 And being one of those who believe, and exhorting one another to be steadfast, and exhorting one another to be kind.
 These have deserved happiness.


Steadfastness, kindness and happiness. How do these go together? Let us close our eyes and picture a person who is steadfast and kind. Is this person happy? Do we want to be around this person? Research shows a link between happiness and both steadfastness and kindness. Being kind and charitable brings us joy. And being steadfast helps us keep an even keel. And if we can kindly encourage one another, we may all be able to benefit.

May God help us lead a righteous life and attain happiness in this world and the next.
