Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 90:17] And being one of those who believe, and exhorting one another to be steadfast, and exhorting one another to be kind. [Quran 42:43] Resorting to patience and forgiveness reflects a true strength of character. All of us are in need of God's forgiveness, mercy and grace. And we love to be forgiven by God (Quran 24:22). So it seems reasonable for us to be compassionate and forgiving towards others. And while the just requital for an injustice is an equivalent retribution, God rewards those who pardon and maintain righteousness (Quran 42:40). This does not mean turning a blind eye to gross injustice. Instead, it means looking at the big picture, and letting go of the small matters. God encourages us to build character by resorting to patience and forgiveness. Can we do it?
