Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 89:24] … "Oh, I wish I prepared for my (eternal) life." [Quran 29:2-3] Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe," without being put to the test? We have tested those before them, for GOD must distinguish those who are truthful, and He must expose the liars. It's exam-time in schools and universities. All students take tests to pass and graduate. So as much as they may not like the tests, it's a blessing if they can pass. We can think of this life as a school for our souls. We were deficient in our previous life (Quran 38:67-69, 43:5), and God in His Grace and Mercy sent us down to learn and do better. When we think of the context, we understand that we're here on earth by God's great mercy. This is a final chance to redeem our souls and come back to God. It's our test. In fact, this whole life is preparation for the ultimate final exam on the Day of Resurrection. But the most amazing thing is that it's an open book test! God has given us all the answers and encourages us repeatedly to go to the source, the Quran, and check those answers. So what will we do today to prepare for our life's test?
