Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 30:48] GOD is the One who sends the winds, to stir up clouds, to be spread throughout the sky in accordance with His will. He then piles the clouds up, then you see the rain coming down therefrom. When it falls on whomever He chooses from among His servants, they rejoice. [Quran 15:22] And we send the winds as pollinators, and cause water to come down from the sky for you to drink. Otherwise, you could not keep it palatable. By God's grace, we have rain and snow to replenish our fresh water (e.g, rivers, lakes, underground aquifers). Without the water cycle, plants and agriculture will slowly die out as will the creatures that depend on them. Animals and humans will lose their food sources. No plants means no photosynthesis, which means oxygen levels in the atmosphere will drop and carbon dioxide levels will rise. The air will become difficult to breathe. Each of these changes in turn can lead to a cascade of other catastrophic effects (e.g., more carbon dioxide can lead to global warming). Thank you God for water and for the perfectly designed earth! Water and Charity: A project to help build wells for the needy is underway. It is an opportunity to help the poor gain access to God's gift of water.
