In today’s world, it is very important for people to have access to information about other cultures and other religions. Islam, especially, is very misunderstood because extremists make the news. The true practice of the religion is lost in the headlines of a small group of terrorists. To help bridge the information gap, ICS/Masjid Tucson is launching a project called “Let the World Know.” The very best way we can present the truth about Islam is by making this excellent translation of the Quran accessible.

ICS/Masjid Tucson is a non-profit organization based in Tucson, Arizona. We have received funding to donate a copy of the English translation of the Quran to libraries in the US and abroad. This is a library edition soft cover book (ISBN 1-881893-05-7), excellently bound and attractive to look at. We feel that this translation has some excellent qualities that set it apart from other translations you may already have in your collection.

Dr. Rashad Khalifa, who was fluent both in Arabic and English, did a translation that is clear, concise and easy to read. For anyone seeking to understand what Islam truly means, there is no better way than to read the Quran, and there is no better translation available in contemporary English today.
During his research Dr. Khalifa discovered an extraordinary mathematical pattern embedded in the Quran that is well documented in the first appendix. This mathematical code is the most credible attempt to date in explaining Quran’s mysterious initials prefixing some of its chapters, and other Quranic phenomena.
Dr. Khalifa was an advocate of peace, religious tolerance, women’s rights, equality of men and women. He addressed these issues and other subjects on the abuse and distortion of the religion in the Appendices of his translation. Because of his controversial stand on these issues, some fanatics, later found to have ties to Al-Qaida, assassinated him inside his Tucson office in 1990.
