Dr. Rashad Khalifa Martyrdom: Sentencing Judge Christopher Browning sentences Glen Francis to 25-to-life (for killing the Messenger of Covenant in 1990)

[17:33] You shall not kill any person―for GOD has made life sacred―except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder, he will be helped

By God's leave, Pima County Superior Court Judge Christopher Browning sentenced Glen Francis to 25-years-to-life. Francis had been found guilty of first-degree murder (i.e., assassination of Dr. Rashad Khalifa) on December 19, 2012.

The teachings in the Quran make it clear that Submission to God (Islam in Arabic), is a religion of peace and freedom, including, absolute freedom of religion (2:256, 18:29). Even if we disagree with someone's religious views, the Quran says, to wish them "Peace" and disregard them in a nice manner (15:85, 43:89, 73:10). Violence and belligerence are not the way of God's religion (Quran 22:72, 5:87). God condemns aggression (2:190, 5:87). Murder, as one would expect, is naturally forbidden (4:92, 6:151, 17:31-33, etc.). The only time one can fight is in self-defense (2:190-193). This is what Dr. Khalifa preached.

In stark contrast, terrorists acting in the name of Islam, set a terrible example and repel others from God's message by making it appear that Islam is a religion of hate and murder. Terrorism is condemned by God. By God's Grace, Judge Browning was able to see past the terrorists, and recognize the truth of Islam, as a religion that "values peace and wholeness and denounces aggression.".

It is, however, part of God's system that His messengers have to deal with those who attack both the message from God, and also them personally. Some people are so upset by the invitation to the truth of "worship God Alone", that they resort to violence (2:87, 22:72, 48:26).

[36:16-19] They said, "Our Lord knows that we have been sent to you. Our sole mission is to deliver the message."
They said, "We consider you bad omens. Unless you refrain, we will surely stone you, or afflict you with painful retribution."
They said, "Your omen depends on your response, now that you have been reminded. Indeed, you are transgressing people."

[Quran 2:87] ... Is it not a fact that every time a messenger went to you with anything you disliked, your ego caused you to be arrogant? Some of them you rejected, and some of them you killed.

Glen Francis did not speak or express any remorse during the trial, perhaps misguidedly believing his assassination was a "justifiable" act. In addition to whatever prison sentence Glen Francis serves, we know God will punish him to the extent he deserves in the Hereafter. The Hereafter is eternal, and God's justice is perfect.

You Shall Not Kill

[4:92] No believer shall kill another believer, unless it is an accident. If one kills a believer by accident, he shall atone by freeing a believing slave, and paying a compensation to the victim's family, unless they forfeit such a compensation as a charity. If the victim belonged to people who are at war with you, though he was a believer, you shall atone by freeing a believing slave. If he belonged to people with whom you have signed a peace treaty, you shall pay the compensation in addition to freeing a believing slave. If you cannot find* a slave to free, you shall atone by fasting two consecutive months, in order to be redeemed by GOD. GOD is Knower, Most Wise.

*4:92 Since slavery does not exist, the offender must atone by fasting two consecutive months.

An Unforgivable Offense

[4:93] Anyone who kills a believer on purpose, his retribution is Hell, wherein he abides forever, GOD is angry with him, and condemns him, and has prepared for him a terrible retribution.

[4:94] O you who believe, if you strike in the cause of GOD, you shall be absolutely sure. Do not say to one who offers you peace, "You are not a believer," seeking the spoils of this world. For GOD possesses infinite spoils. Remember that you used to be like them, and GOD blessed you. Therefore, you shall be absolutely sure (before you strike). GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

[2:281] Beware of the day when you are returned to GOD, and every soul is paid for everything it had done, without the least injustice.

[21:47] We will establish the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection. No soul will suffer the least injustice. Even the equivalent of a mustard seed will be accounted for. We are the most efficient reckoners.

God also blessed us with the reassuring knowledge that death for the righteous is not painful. The real person is spared the trauma, as God and His angels take the soul to Paradise before the body can suffer any harm in this world. This is the example we get from the death of Jesus.

[3:169] Do not think that those who are killed in the cause of God are dead; they are alive at their Lord, being provided for.

Where Do We Go From Here?

[2:154] Do not say of those who are killed in the cause of GOD, "They are dead." They are alive at their Lord, but you do not perceive.*

*2:154 The righteous do not really die; they simply leave their bodies here and go to the same Paradise where Adam and Eve once lived. See Appendix 17 for the proof and the details.

Major Prophecy Fulfilled* God's Messenger of the Covenant

[3:81] GOD took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfill this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you."

*3:81 This major prophecy has now been fulfilled. God's Messenger of the Covenant, as prophesied in this verse and in the Bible's Malachi 3:1-21, Luke 17:22-36, & Matthew 24:27 is to purify and unify God's messages which were delivered by God's prophets. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. have been severely corrupted. It is the will of Almighty God to purify them and unify them under the banner of worshiping Him alone. Overwhelming evidence has been provided by God in support of His Messenger of the Covenant, whose name is incontrovertibly specified in the Quran's mathematical code as "Rashad Khalifa." For example, adding the gematrical value of "Rashad" (505), plus the value of "Khalifa" (725), plus the verse number (81) gives 1311, or 19x69 (see Appendix 2 for the detailed evidence).

God's Messenger of the Covenant

[5:19] O people of the scripture, our messenger has come to you, to explain things to you, after a period of time without messengers, lest you say, "We did not receive any preacher or warner." A preacher and warner has now come to you. GOD is Omnipotent.*

*5:19 This verse reports the fulfillment of the biblical and Quranic prophecy regarding the advent of God's Messenger of the Covenant (Malachi 3:1, Quran 3:81). The name of this messenger is mathematically coded into the Quran as "Rashad Khalifa." This very special verse warrants the presentation of specific evidence. By adding the gematrical value of "Rashad" (505), plus the value of "Khalifa" (725), plus the sura number (5), plus the verse number (19), we obtain a total of 505+725+5+19 = 1254, or 19x66. Nineteen is the Quran's common denominator, which was revealed through Rashad Khalifa. More evidence and specific details are in Appendix 2.
