Brussels Bombing terrorism: against the teachings of Submission to God (Islam) in Quran

The members of Masjid Tucson / International Community of Submitters (ICS) offer our condolences to the families of the victims in the bombing attacks in Brussels, Belgium.

The suicide bombing attacks at Brussels airport in Zaventem and the bombing at the Brussels Maalbeek metro station have injured and killed a large number of innocent people. We strongly condemn these Satanic terrorist attacks which are against God's religion and the peaceful teachings of the Quran.

The so-called "Islamic" State terrorist group (also known as ISIS / ISIL) has once again claimed responsibility for a terrible crime that violates the major commandments of God. It shows that terrorists are people who have abandoned true Islam (Submission to God) and God's words in the Quran. God commands Submitters to God (Muslims in Arabic) to advocate righteousness and forbid evil (Quran 3:104). A true Muslim is an advocate of peace, not of terrorism.

It is God's decree that life is sacred (Quran 6:151, 17:33, 25:68) and that there should be maximum freedom for all people, including the freedom of religion (Quran 2:256, 10:99, etc.).

No Compulsion in Religion

[Quran 2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

Grossness of Murder

[Quran 5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing.

[Quran 17:33] You shall not kill any person―for GOD has made life sacred―except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder, he will be helped.

God also teaches us in the Quran that He does not love the aggressors (Quran 2:190-193, 5:87). Fighting is allowed strictly in self-defense, while aggression and oppression are strongly condemned throughout the Quran (2:190-193, 5:87, 7:33, 42:42, 50:24-25, 22:72, etc.). Yet, terrorist groups make it their mission to attack and kill innocent men, women and children and roam the earth wickedly.

[Quran 5:87] O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by GOD, and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.

[Quran 3:104] Let there be a community of you who invite to what is good, advocate righteousness, and forbid evil. These are the winners.

To summarize, the religion of Islam (Submission) forbids murder and terrorism. The Quran teaches us there is absolute freedom of religion (2:256, 18:29), and God makes it clear that life is sacred (6:151, 17:33, 25:68). The followers of God's laws are charitable, righteous and peaceful people (4:114).

Absolute Freedom of Religion

[Quran 18:29] Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve. ...

The Major Commandments

[Quran 6:151] Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has really prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides Him. You shall honor your parents. You shall not kill your children from fear of poverty―we provide for you and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious or hidden. You shall not kill―GOD has made life sacred―except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."

[Quran 4:114] ... those who advocate charity, or righteous works, or making peace among the people. Anyone who does this, in response to GOD's teachings, we will grant him a great recompense.
