In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Guidelines for the Annual Conference
- The attendance to the conference is a personal choice. It is not a religious
duty, nor is it an obligation. However, it is a wonderful opportunity to be
with the submitters from different communities and share their experiences
(18:28).
- The conference is open to all people of the scripture, who are striving
to submit to the will and commandments of God, do not associate any partners
with Him, and follow the religion of Abraham, the monotheist (2:135). If this is the first time you are attending the conference, please let us know about yourself.
- The conference attendance is by invitation only, and the conference organizers
have the right to turn down the registration of any person who is found incompatible
with the objectives of the conference, or proven to be disruptive, divisive,
and intolerant or displaying unrighteous behavior in prior conferences or
gatherings (3:200, 17:53,
51:55).
- The conference organizers have the right to assign the speakers, MCs for
the conference, and the leaders of the Contact prayers. In general, there
is more demand for these tasks than available slots. The new submitters or
the youth are given priority. Often there are requests that come at the last
minute. In any case, sometimes selection of speakers becomes necessary based
on the topics proposed and our experiences with the people from previous conferences.
(3:159, 16:125).
- The speakers’ topics and their speeches must conform to Quranic guidelines.
The speeches are not to be used as a platform for attacking a person or group
of people, or putting down other congregations, nor should they be used for
some personal or political agenda (2:44,
2:62, 2:177).
All presentations and discussions must be amicable.
And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers.
(51:55)
…you shall be appreciative of God. Whoever is
appreciative is appreciative for his own good. As for those who turn unappreciative,
God is in no need, Praiseworthy. (31:12)
You shall force yourself to be with those who worship
their Lord day and night, seeking Him alone. Do not turn your eyes away from
them, seeking the vanities of this world. Nor shall you obey one whose heart
we rendered oblivious to our message; one who pursues his own desires, and whose
priorities are confused. (18:28)
You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom
and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the best possible manner. Your
Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who are the
guided ones. (16:125)
Tell My servants to treat each other in the best possible
manner, for the devil will always try to drive a wedge among them. Surely, the
devil is man's most ardent enemy. (17:53)
Come to the conference in peace and bring
your righteous attitude with you, God willing. No politics, no special interest groups or
agendas. Simply the anticipation of worshiping God alone with fellow submitters.
We look forward to seeing you all, God willing.
