Descriptions of the long Numbers

As new long numbers from the Quran's sura and verse numbering are discovered, God willing, we will include them in the list the software provides. The existing numbers are described briefly below. Details may be found in the original source (i.e., Appendices and Submitters Perspectives where these numbers are taken from).

The first 15 numbers, files number1.txt to number15.txt are described in the Superhuman Numerical Combinations section in Appendix 1 of Dr. Rashad Khalifa's authorized english version of the Quran.

The files ap24-63.txt , ap24-64.txt and ap24-65.txt contains numbers described in Appendix 24 of Dr. Rashad Khalifa's authorized english version of the Quran. These numbers are, as their names suggests, proofs 63, 64 and 65 from Appendix 24.

The following two numbers are detailed in the November 1989 issue of Submitters Perspective. Here are the brief descriptions:

n13038d.txt - This number includes every sura and verse in the Quran, consists of 13038 digits and is composed like this:

The Sura Number is written, followed by its Number of Verses, followed by a 0 if the sura begins with an un-numbered basmalah, followed by each verse number in that sura. This is repeated for all suras in the Quran.

Sura 1 looks like this: 1 7 1234567

Sura 2 begins like this: 2 286 0 12345678910111213.... and so on to the end of sura 2. Note the 0 for the un-numbered basmalah.

n37088d.txt - This number includes every sura and verse in the Quran, consists of 37088 digits and is composed like this:

Every verse in the Quran is given a sequential number; verse 1 in sura 1 is verse 1 in the Quran, verse 6 in sura 114 is verse 6346 in the Quran (the last verse). The number of the sura is written, followed by the number of the suras first verse, followed by the sequential number of that verse. Then the second verse of the same sura is written, followed by the sequential number of that verse, and so on to the end of the sura. This is repeated for all suras in the Quran.

Sura 1 looks like this: 1 11 22 33 44 55 66 77

Sura 2 begins like this: 2 08 19 210 311 412 513 ... and so on to the end of sura 2. Note the 0 for the un-numbered basmalah, as well as the 8 after it, showing that the un-numbered verses are also given sequential numbers.

n14453d.txt - This number also encompasses every verse in the Quran. It is constructed as follows.

From the first numbered verse [1:1] to the last [114:6], write down the verse number with the sura number added to it. The resulting long number consists of 14453 digits, is a multiple of 19.

The number looks like this (the first 3 suras):

2345678  ,
3456789...288
  ,
456789...203
(and so on).

Here is how the first and last suras are composed:

Verses in sura 1:       1 2 3 4 5 6 7
verse + sura number:    2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Verses in sura 114:     1   2   3   4   5   6
verse + sura number:    115 116 117 118 119 120

n20257d.txt - This number comprises each verse in the Quran. For each sura, we start with the first verse. A running total is kept that contains the sum of all verse numbers including that verse. The process is described below.

Imagine variable X with an initial value of 0. Add the number of the first verse in the first sura to X. Then, write down the value of X. Repeat this for all verses in the first sura. Then, "reset" X to 0, and repeat the procedure for all numbered verses in sura 2. Repeat this for all suras. The resulting long number consists of 20257 digits, is a multiple of 19, and looks like this (the first 3 suras): 1 3 6 10 15 21 28  ,  1 3 6 10 15 21 28 36...41041  ,  1 3 6 10 15 21 ... 20100 (and so on).

This miraculous phenomenon adds even more power to the great miracle of the Quran, and more proof that 9:128 -129 never belonged in the Quran.

ALLAHU AKBAR.
