Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 16:90] GOD advocates justice, charity, and regarding the relatives. And He forbids evil, vice, and transgression. He enlightens you, that you may take heed. [Quran 55:7-9] He constructed the sky and established the law. You shall not transgress the law. You shall establish justice; do not violate the law. You Shall Not Bear False Witness [Quran 4:135] O you who believe, you shall be absolutely equitable, and observe GOD, when you serve as witnesses, even against yourselves, or your parents, or your relatives. Whether the accused is rich or poor, GOD takes care of both. Therefore, do not be biased by your personal wishes. ... Submission provides a system of justice which is inclusive, crucial and sacrosanct. No one is above the law and no one can claim immunity from the law. The Quran condemns bribery, corruption and nepotism--barriers to achieving justice. Submitters must be equitable and should not commit injustice owing to the belief system of the accused or any relationship with individuals. God loves those who are just (Quran 49:9). May God help us be equitable and protect us from following our personal opinion, lest it diverts us from the way of God (Quran 38:26).
