Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

When things seem chaotic or uncertain, it's a good time to seek refuge in God and put our trust in Him. The Quran reminds us that nothing will happen to us except what God has decreed; in God the believers shall trust (Quran 9:51). God loves those who trust in Him (Quran 3:159).

[Quran 9:51] Say, "Nothing happens to us, except what GOD has decreed for us. He is our Lord and Master. In GOD the believers shall trust."

[Quran 3:160] If GOD supports you, none can defeat you. And if He abandons you, who else can support you? In GOD the believers shall trust.


Even when faced with oppression or tyranny, we learn from the example of Moses that Submitters should put their trust in God (Quran 10:83-85).

[Quran 10:84] Moses said, "O my people, if you have really believed in GOD, then put your trust in Him, if you are really submitters."
 [10:85] They said, "We trust in GOD. Our Lord, save us from the persecution of these oppressive people.

     Happiness Now, and Forever
[Quran 22:15] If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him.


May God help us turn to Him and trust in Him completely.
