Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, God loves the steadfast (3:146). Steadfastness as a trait of the righteous is mentioned in dozens of verses in the Quran (2:45, 2:153-155, 2:177, 2:249-250, 3:17, 3:120, 3:125, 3:142, 3:146, 3:186, 3:200, etc.). A dictionary definition of steadfast is "resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering". A Submitter is steadfast in worshiping God and carrying out His commands (19:65, 52:48, 68:48). [Quran 2:45-46] You shall seek help through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Salat). This is difficult indeed, but not so for the reverent, who believe that they will meet their Lord; that to Him they ultimately return. [Quran 2:153] O you who believe, seek help through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Salat). GOD is with those who steadfastly persevere. [Quran 3:146] Many a prophet had godly people fight along with him, without ever wavering under pressure in the cause of GOD, nor did they hesitate or become discouraged. GOD loves the steadfast. [Quran 19:65] The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them; you shall worship Him and steadfastly persevere in worshiping Him. Do you know of anyone who equals Him? May God grant us steadfastness and let us die as submitters (Quran 7:126).
