Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 33:41-42] O you who believe, you shall remember GOD frequently.* You shall glorify Him day and night. *33:41-42 Your god is whatever occupies your thoughts most of the time. Hence the commandment to commemorate God and glorify Him day and night. See Appendix 27. When we see a beautiful flower, or animal, or sunsets, we must glorify God. We must seize every possible opportunity to remember and glorify God, so that God may be our God (Quran 33:41-42, 4:103). There's a common phrase, "Stop and smell the roses." It means to take a moment and appreciate the little things, the beautiful things of this world. We need to be appreciative of our blessings--they are so many (Quran 14:34, 16:18). Every flower, every sunset, every snow-capped mountain, every adorable puppy or kitten is a gift from God and a sign for us. If we ignore all these signs (Quran 12:105), we not only miss out on seeing wonderful things, but we are also being unappreciative of God. And being unappreciative is a trait of disbelievers (Quran 35:36, 16:83, 76:3). Remember God, Always [Quran 30:17-18] Therefore, you shall glorify GOD when you retire at night, and when you rise in the morning. All praise is due to Him in the heavens and the earth, throughout the evening, as well as in the middle of your day.
