Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Humans seek victory, whether in basketball (a big tournament is underway in the USA), cricket (the world cup is ongoing) or any number of sports. God tells us that the greatest triumph is redemption into His kingdom (Quran 4:13, 5:119, 6:16, 9:72, 9:89, etc.). [Quran 85:11] Surely, those who believed and led a righteous life, have deserved gardens with flowing streams. This is the greatest triumph. Winning in this world is fleeting. Today's champions in time become yesterday's news. If someone is to win, another has to lose. Yet, for this fleeting worldly victory, people invest years of their life--fully dedicated to their sport or cause. In contrast, the Hereafter is eternal (Quran 10:26-27) and there is room in Heaven for anyone who sincerely seeks it (Quran 2:62). Do we work as hard for the greatest triumph as we do for victory in this world?
