Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

Oppressive regimes and so-called "Islamic" terrorists present a totally shameful and mutilated distortion of the immaculate religion sent down by God. The recent massacre of hundreds of innocent victims by Boko Haram shows God's true religion is under an enormous assault from people who claim to be "Muslims". If Muhammad came back to this world, these "Muslims" would stone him to death. These people not only give the religion a bad name, but also do not comprehend what "Islam" (Submission) really means.

"Islam" is not a name, but rather a description meaning "Submission."  Submission is the religion whereby we recognize God's absolute authority, and reach an unshakeable conviction that God ALONE possesses all power; no other entity possesses any power that is independent of Him. The natural result of such a realization is to devote our lives and our worship absolutely to God ALONE. This is the First Commandment in all the scriptures.

 Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is One God!
 Therefore you shall adore the Lord your God
 with all your heart,
 with all your soul,
 with all your mind,
 and with all your strength.    [Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Luke 12:29-30, Quran 3:18]


God has blessed us with knowledge about Submission, and that the Quran advocates peace, justice and freedom. Let us reflect on what we can do to spread the truth about God's religion.

[Quran 5:3] ... Today, I have completed your religion, perfected My blessing upon you, and I have decreed Submission as the religion for you. ...

[Quran 14:35] Recall that Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and protect me and my children from worshiping idols.
