Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Submitters are extremely fortunate; God has given us information on the importance of repentance and has detailed how we can attain his mercy. If we fall into Satan’s trap and commit sin, we should not despair as GOD forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful (Quran 39:53). God forgives those who repent and reform (Quran 3:89, 25:70, 40:3, etc.). God loves the repenters (Quran 2:222). Repentance [Quran 4:17-18] Repentance is acceptable by GOD from those who fall in sin out of ignorance, then repent immediately thereafter. GOD redeems them. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise. Not acceptable is the repentance of those who commit sins until death comes to them, then say, "Now I repent." Nor is it acceptable from those who die as disbelievers. For these, we have prepared a painful retribution. We must take advantage of this information and not hesitate to ask God for forgiveness. It is His law that repentance cleans the slate (Quran 9:11) and remits our sins (Quran 42:25, 66:8). The Believers Repent [Quran 66:8] O you who believe, you shall repent to GOD a firm repentance. Your Lord will then remit your sins and admit you into gardens with flowing streams ... [Quran 3:135] If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember GOD and ask forgiveness for their sins―and who forgives the sins except GOD―and they do not persist in sins, knowingly. Peace.
