Condemning Sudanese death sentence for "apostasy"
UnQuranic sentence violates absolute freedom of religion in Submission (Islam)
Masjid Tucson condemns the death sentence passed in Sudan against a Christian woman charged with apostasy.
The Quran supports absolute freedom of religion (2:256, 18:29). The practice of killing whomever is considered an "apostate" is a Satanic innovation which violates a number of Quranic principles (2:256; 4:90; 10:99; 18:29; 88:21-22).
No Compulsion in Religion
[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.
Further, the Quran teaches clearly in 2:62, 5:69, & 60:8 that the Jews and Christians who (1) believe in God, (2) believe in the Hereafter, and (3) lead a righteous life, are believers who will go to heaven.
Unity of All Submitters
[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
The so-called "Islamic" countries would do well to follow God's laws. A nation that upholds God's laws is characterized by:
International Community of Submitters / Masjid Tucson
The world wide community of those who Submit to God Alone and advocate the worship of God Alone
