Gulshan, Dhaka (Bangladesh) terrorist attack: against the teachings of Submission to God (Islam) and Quran

The members of Masjid Tucson / International Community of Submitters (ICS) offer our condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Terrorists opened fire on and bombed a bakery in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and also took multiple hostages. Over twenty people were killed and fifty injured due to the shooting and bomb explosions. We strongly condemn these Satanic terrorist attacks which are against God's religion and the peaceful teachings of the Quran.

The so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL / ISIS / daesh) claimed responsibility for the attacks, once again proving that they follow Satan and his lies, not God and His proven scripture, the Quran. Terrorism and the killing of innocent people are forbidden in Submission (Islam), and the terrorists do not represent God's religion or the Quran at all. The fact that the majority of attacks of so-called "Islamic terror" groups are on "Muslims" in traditionally "Muslim countries" only reiterates the fact that terrorists are not supporting Islam but their own perverse agenda.

The religion of Submission to God (Islam) and the Quran, teach Submitters to God (Muslims in Arabic) to advocate righteousness and forbid evil (Quran 3:104). A true Muslim greets another with "peace be upon you" (Salãmun 'Alaykum). The Quran teaches us to live in peaceful coexistence with people of all faiths (Quran 60:8), and there's no grounds to support aggression, terrorism and oppression of any kind (Quran 2:190-193, 5:87, 7:33, 42:42, 50:24-25, 22:72, etc.). There is freedom of religion (no compulsion in religion; Quran 2:256, 10:99, etc.). Murdering even one person is equated with murdering all the people (Quran 5:32).

No Compulsion in Religion

[Quran 2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

Grossness of Murder

[Quran 5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing.

[Quran 5:87] O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by GOD, and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.

[Quran 7:28] They commit a gross sin, then say, "We found our parents doing this, and GOD has commanded us to do it." Say, "GOD never advocates sin. Are you saying about GOD what you do not know?"

We invite and urge all true Muslims seeking to strive and please God: return to the Quran, forsake terrorism and the false doctrines of extremism and aggression forbidden by God. Instead, let us make the "difficult" choices God asks us to—to feed the hungry, take care of the orphans and the poor, and be steadfast and kind (90:10-18).

[90:10-18] Did we not show him the two paths? He should choose the difficult path. Which one is the difficult path?
The freeing of slaves. Feeding, during the time of hardship. Orphans who are related. Or the poor who is in need.
And being one of those who believe, and exhorting one another to be steadfast, and exhorting one another to be kind. These have deserved happiness.

To summarize, the religion of Islam (Submission) forbids murder and terrorism. The Quran teaches us there is absolute freedom of religion (2:256, 17:107, 18:29), and God makes it clear that life is sacred (6:151, 17:33, 25:68). The followers of God's laws are charitable, righteous and peaceful people (4:114).

Absolute Freedom of Religion

[Quran 18:29] Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve. ...

[Quran 3:104] Let there be a community of you who invite to what is good, advocate righteousness, and forbid evil. These are the winners.

We invite readers to study the Quran themselves and see what God really says.
